How to Become a Master Assassin on Maple Story

Make sure that when you create your character, your STR and INT are either 4 or 5. So your stats should look like this when you create them: STR (4 or 5), DEX (any value), INT (4 or 5), LUK (any value). IThis may take a while, but it's worth it.

On Maple Island, when you level up, first put as many Ability Points as needed into your DEX. You need to get your DEX to 25 as soon as possible. It's needed to make your Rogue job placement in Kerning City, and also it will help you inflict more damage on Maple Island. Once you achieve 25 DEX, put all leftover points into LUK. Kill green snails, as they give easy experience. Do not surpass level 10 before becoming a Rogue at Kerning City.

After you arrive at Victoria Island, you will find yourself in Lith Harbor. Using the map, walk to the split in the road. In this location, climb to the very top, and enter the portal there (you will see a sign that says "Welcome to Kerning City"). Now just continue along the path until you come to the city. Also, since you haven't made your first job advancement, an easy way to get there would be to die. It would teleport you to the nearest town, which is Kerning City.

When in Kerning City, go to the Fusion Bar. It's right under the Famous Pharmacy, next to the Internet Cafe NPC. In the Fusion Bar, go to the bottom, and you will meet the Dark Lord (make sure you're level ten when you do this, nothing lower or higher). He will ask you if you wish to become a Rogue. Accept this. Your max HP and MP will boost slightly, and you will gain one SP (Skill Point). Spend this on Nimble Body. Go into the weapons shop and buy a Garnier, it's on the West side of town. Garniers are a type of Claw. Remember that claws allow you to throw throwing stars. Afterwards, go to the Pharmacy and buy 4 or more sets of Subi Throwing Stars. Now, go out into the real world and complete quests to level up.

Keep your DEX at double your level, and put the remaining points into LUK. So keep your DEX at 25 until you reach level 13, put 1 into DEX and 4 into LUK. Then just keep putting DEX +2, LUK +3 forever.

Spend your SP on the following things for levels 10-18.

• Level 10: Nimble Body +1.
  
• Level 11: Nimble Body +2, Keen eyes +1.
  
• Level 12,13: Keen Eyes +3.
  
• Level 14: Keen Eyes +1(it's now Maxed), Lucky Seven +2.
  
• Level 15: Lucky Seven +3.
  
• Level 16: Lucky Seven +3.
  
• Level 17: Lucky Seven +2, save 1 SP (for investing)
  
• Level 18, 19: Save 3 Sp (for Investing)
  
• Level 20: put 10 (yes 10) on Lucky Seven
  
• Level 21: Disorder +3
  
• Level 22: Darksight +3
  
• Level 23, 24, 25, 26, 27: Nimble Body +3
  
• Level 28: Nimble Body +2, Darksight OR Disorder +1
  
• Level 29, 30: Darksight OR Disorder +3

Your Skills should be arranged like this:

Nimble Body:20(Max)

Lucky Seven:20(Max)

Keen Eyes:8(Max)

Darksight:10 OR 3

Disorder:10 OR 3

Double Stab:0

Total SP Spent: 61
