Think you're not a good trader in Maple and need money desperately? Well, there's another option, but it's definitely slower than buying-and-selling and that is...
Zakum Part ! - This guide will only teach you how to market the items you get for this quest, but you have to learn how to do the quest yourself.
The Basic Basics
Let's start off with the basic fundamentals. You need to know how to do the quest. In case you still don't know, here's a quick guide for you.
So as you know, after you finish the quest with 7 keys and 30 documents or more, you get 5 Return Scrolls to Dead Mine (I'll just refer to them as DM Scrolls here). But now the question is, what to do with them?
Collecting DM Scrolls
One thing you need to know is, since the recent patch in some versions of Maple, the cap for the number of Zakum Part 1s you can do in a day is 3. This means a total of 15 DM Scrolls. Remember, use another level 50 or above character to do this quest so you can train your main. After the 3 tries in a day, leave your character there. The next day log back in,maplestory mesos walk a few maps back into Door to Zakum and redo the quest. Advised to use a thief since it can Dark Sight and move through those Cerebes and Bains easily.
So, collect about 100 DM Scrolls, then return your character to El Nath to start selling them. 100 DM Scrolls will take about 7.5 hours in total if you can do Zakum Part 1 fairly quickly.
At the Free Market
Here's one of the things you're not supposed to do in the FM when you're marketing your DM Scrolls. NEVER sell them in shops. People who buy DM Scrolls in the FM never go to shops to look unless there are no people around selling them. Next, you must know the price of a DM Scroll. In Maple sea, the average price is about 150k ~ 170k each.
When you sell your DM Scrolls, do it like this:
S> DEAD MINE SCROLLS 160K EA @@@@@ @@@@@ @@@@@ (cont.)
Remember, divide your @s into 5s.This way your text box will reach higher
But if you have a pet you can do this:
/pet S> DEAD MINE SCROLLS 160K EA @@@@@@@ /trade (char. name) @@@@@ @@@@@@@ @@@@ @@@@@@@
Notice the pattern in the number of @s.
Ok, another thing you need to know is this. Since the recent update of Zombie maps, zombie maps have become less popular, leading to less people buying DM Scrolls. However, there are STILL some people out there who still buy them. Because of this, we cannot afford to let the price of our DM Scrolls drop below 130k. OR ELSE, YOU MIGHT START PULLING THE MARKET DOWN. If you pull the market down, it means you'd have to keep decreasing your price, resulting in less income.
So as I was saying, collect about 100 DM Scrolls first. Usually people buy DM Scrolls in bulk or 1, 5 or 10. If you do manage to get rid of your 100 DM Scrolls, you should earn around 15m (That's 15 000 000 mesos), after being taxed! Then repeat the process. 15m for 7.5 hours of time is about 2m per hour. If you sell them at 130k or less each, you will earn 13m, which is 2m less! It SHOULD take less than a half hour to sell off everything if you're going at average pace, or about 20 mins if you're lucky.
Looks easy?
Easier said than done. Remember that there are all kind of weird things going around in the FM nowadays, like trade hacks. You won't want to lose 7.5 hours of your time to a trade hacker, will you? Watch out for people who buy DM Scrolls in bulk of 40 or above. Usually, people don't buy so much. You might want them to put their money first before putting your DM Scrolls, or you might be a victim of trade hack. Another thing is, DON'T spend your 15m in one shot. Learn how to save so you can go on mass buying or mass scrolling periods. I'll include a short story below which is somewhat related to this...
One day, a man was reading his newspaper on the way back home by bus. When he reached his stop, he had just finished reading the paper. So when he got off the bus, he saw a young man on the streets shouting, “Extra! Extra! Newer copy of today's paper! Two men swindled!”. The man looked at the young chap, thought for a while, and decided to buy the “new” paper without even looking at it. But when he bought the paper, he found that it was empty! You know what?
The young man then started screaming, “Extra! Extra! Newer copy of today's paper! Three men swindled!”
Moral of the story: Don't spend your money before looking at what you're buying. To all you DM Scroll sellers- to- be, DON'T try to scam people by replacing the DM Scrolls with Return Scrolls to Nearest Town or anything like that.
To Sum Up
Don't sell you DM Scrolls in FM Shops.
Don't keep bringing your DM Scroll prices down.
Don't try to scam.
Don't spend all your hard earn money in one shot.
Don't be a victim or trade hacks!
And that's the end of the guide! Thanks for stopping by to read!
